Neil Katz, M.D.
Neil R. Katz, M.D. is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who has been in practice since 1996. He graduated summa cum laude from The University of Pennsylvania, where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, and then earned his medical degree from New York University. He completed his ophthalmology residency at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and his pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at the University of Kentucky. While Dr. Katz practices general ophthalmology and treats patients of all ages, he specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and caring for children's eyes. Among his areas of expertise are cataract surgery, pediatric ophthalmic surgery (strabismus surgery and surgery on the tear duct system) and laser surgery for many different ophthalmic conditions including glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. He also performs both routine and challenging contact lens fittings.
Dr. Katz remains a member of the teaching faculty at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in Manhattan, where he supervises residents in ophthalmic surgery. He was born and raised in Westchester County and is a proud graduate of New Rochelle High School. Dr. Katz has proudly contributed to medical missions in the Dominican Republic, performing needed examinations and surgery on indigent patients from rural communities.
